New York in Utah

As I was driving up to this photoshoot, I couldn't help but see the resemblance between good old upstate New York and the amazing scenery I was driving through. Picturesque snow, woods, acres of land, amazing houses (although there aren't as many amazing houses in upstate). I would love to live up there. The Holiday area I mean.

I got so SO many great family shots at this shoot. Amazing. You guys are all extraordinarly photogenic. I'm so excited to get the rest of yours proofed. But here are just a few. I had to post one of a dad willing to wear his daughter's necklace for her. I mean, that's true love right there. :)

Postcard Snow

Edit: Here are your edits. :)

I had a few (big) family sessions this weekend. And the snow was AMAZING. It looked like something on a postcard. I'm so grateful for the families that were so willing to literally freeze their tails off to get the picture perfect snow.

Miranda, seriously, you are so gorgeous. Your hair makes me blue with envy. Blue because it was so cold and you looked so HOT!

This was one of my favorites. I can't share all of them though.

Square

I have been working on a wall gallery for my kitchen, and these were some of the pictures that I almost went with. I am LOVING square pictures lately!

K & G

Does it get any better than adorable little boys? I submit that it cannot!

Babies

I had two different baby sessions this weekend. Both so beautiful and sweet. And well behaved!

And session two. She didn't even weigh six pounds. She was so itty bitty.

Style

Melinda, did I mention that I love your style? I think I've only seen you in jeans once, and this was it, but girl! You rock it! (And I know this is totally late, but I promised I'd put some up today... It's still today!)

I was so so so lucky to photograph this good lookin family. And they love moody straight face pictures. My dream come true!

Then, the next day I got to take pictures of their BEAUTIFUL baby girl. She is probably the sweetest baby I have ever seen in my life. Sweeter than most people ever see in their lives. I think that this first one is my very most favorite picture from this shoot.

Fall Leaves

Took Sye out to find new locations a few weeks ago. Found this little treasure trove that I've used since. I just love these.

Sisters

I know I say this all the time, but I really love my job. How lucky am I that I get to meet so many beautiful and amazing people, and help them capture those moments forever? These families were no exception. I had so much fun with you guys. And because they are sisters and had sessions back to back at the same location so we were able to get one or two of them together.

I know that I told you that these would be up yesterday, but I got the stomach flu and was chained to my floor the whole day. So I put up a couple extra pictures for making you wait. :)

Sisters: (They both have the most amazing eye color. I don't know if you can tell on this picture or not.)

And the second session:

Pet Photography?

This was such a fun mini session. I got to take pictures of such a cute and fun couple, and they brought their adorable lab, Lupe, along for their session. I've only taken pictures of my (stupid) dog before, so this was new for me. I didn't realize how fun it would be when it's not your own (stupid) dog! I couldn't help but take aside their dog for a little bit and get some nobleish pictures of her. Maybe I should venture into pet photography too....

Senior

Gotta say, I love senior sessions. There's nothing like a willing subject who listens to what you tell them. Plus this one has the moody face (which is my fave) down pat.
